1. Why should I join the Capitol Hill Chamber when I’m already a member of the BIA?
a. You’ll opt to join the CHCC because, while it appears that we are similar organizations, CHCC’s scope is far broader than BIA. CHCC is providing advocacy on behalf of its members, working with Sound Transit to mitigate the effects of constructing the Broadway Station, etc
b. Broadway BIA is a project of the City of Seattle. CHCC is a project of the community of Capitol Hill.
2. What do I get for becoming a Charter member of the CHCC?
a. Use of Charter Member status on your materials in perpetuity
b. Listing on our website as Charter member
c. Discounted advertising on Chamber website (and printed materials?)
d. A private briefing on the results of the Retail Strategy study

4. What is CHCC doing now, in your first year?
a. We are already in conversations with Sound Transit, regarding the planning and execution of the Broadway Station for the light rail.
b. We are working with City and SPD officials, the Broadway BIA and other organizations to improve public safety issues on Capitol Hill.
c. Building relationships with other organizations- BIA, SCCC, Seattle U
5. Why should I join CHCC when I’m a member of the Greater Seattle Chamber?
a. The Greater Seattle Chamber is another great organization. They’re big enough to be able to provide some really valuable benefits to their members, such as group-rate health insurance and 401k. CHCC is invested in making the community of Capitol Hill more vibrant, whereas the GSCC is focused on providing broad-based benefits to constituents of the whole City of Seattle.
